I I <br /> Cabarrus County Parks and Recreation Department <br /> Lighting Project - Various Parks <br /> <br /> Sources of Funds <br /> <br />1. Northwest Cabarrus High Baseball Field <br /> <br /> This past September the Cabarrus County Parks and Recreation Commission approved <br /> an Incentive Grant Program request submitted by the Northwest Cab. Boostewse <br /> Club. The Parks and Recreation Commission approved a grant allocation of <br /> $7,800.00 toward the cost of this project. The total project for improvements <br /> to the ~orthwest Cabarrus High School Baseball field include Field Lighting <br /> ($32,700.QD) and relocation of existing fences ($2,500.00). The total project <br /> cost was $35,200. <br /> <br /> The Cabarrus County Board of Education has Committed to the purchase cost of <br /> Poles (7,430.00) to this project; $7,800.00 by Cabarrus County Matching Grant <br /> Programs, and $20,000.0D by the Northwest Cabarrus Booster Club. Any excess <br /> funds will be ~pplied toward the cost of bleachers purchases, <br /> <br />2. Harrisburq Baseball/Softball Field <br /> <br /> This project is funded by a cooperative effort of the Harrisburg Youth Asso- <br /> ciation and the Cabarrus County Parks and Recreation Department through the <br /> Department Incentive Grants Program. The Parks and Recreation Commission ap- <br /> proved a grant allocating $4,000.00 toward the cost of this project. The <br /> balance of this cost, $9,683 will be covered by the Harrisburg Youth Associa- <br /> tion. The total project cost was $13,683.00. The Youth Association is also <br /> funding additional field fencing. <br /> <br />3. Bethel Baseball/Softball Field <br /> <br /> This project is funded through a cooperative effort of the Southeast Cabarrus <br /> Athletic Association and the Cabarrus County Parks and Recreation Department's <br /> Incentive Grant Program. The Parks and Recreation Con~ission approved a <br /> grant allocating $5,200.00 toward the cost of this project. The balance of <br /> this cost, $14,030 will be covered by the Southeast Cabarrus Athletic Asso- <br /> ciation. The total project for improvements to the new Bethel Baseball/ <br /> Softball Field includes Field Lighting {$12,000.00); Fencing ($5,040.00). <br /> and landscaping and grading ($2,1g0.00). The total project was $1g,230.00. <br /> <br />4. Frank Liske Park <br /> <br /> The funding for the lighting of the Miniature Golf Course will be covered out <br /> of the donation ($3,00D.OD.~ from the Philip Morris Company. <br /> <br /> <br />
