An offer ha~ been made and verbally agreed based on approval f~om gabarrus gounry. ~s offer nor 2nvolve any ~ncrease Sn funds for the present f~scal year budge~; however, there 2s a salary ~ncrease ~ha~ w~ll affec~ nex~ yearts budge~. The expected da~e of emplo~ent will be June 1, 1985. Because we ~ere able to find an experienced person, it will require a higher salary than is present in that position. The total salary request on an annual basis $26,000. The county's portion of this is 49.75Z, or $12,935.00 annually. The /county is presently paying in this position $9,683.00 annually. This request will a~unt to an increase ~er year. Funding will be available in the present fiscal year budget since this will only require one month's sala~' in this fiscal yezr budget, and the position will be open one month and that will t~ke care of the increase in this fiscal year.
