HcGinnis <br /> County Manager <br /> Courthouse, Box 707 <br /> Concord, North Carolina 28025 <br /> <br /> Dear Mr. HcGinnis: <br /> <br /> I am pleased to report that Chapter ?5? of Senate Bill 182, An Act To <br /> Appropriate Funds for Various Statewide Projects, Session 1985, General <br /> Assembly of North Carolina, includes in Section 3 an appropriation to <br /> Cabarrus County in the amount of one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) <br /> for fiscal year 1985-86 for the continued restoration of the Cabarrus <br /> County Courthouse. <br /> <br /> The Archaeology and Historic Preservation Section of the Division of <br /> Archives and History supports historic preservation efforts in North <br /> Carolina through a program of technical assistance and grants-in-aid. <br /> Although the Division is not directly responsible for the administration of <br /> your recent state appropriation, the services o£ our historic preservation <br /> staff are still available to help coordinate project activities. These <br /> free services could include: assessment of overall project needs and <br /> costs; recon~nendation of professional servicesl negotiation of contracts; <br /> and advice on records management to meet the requirements of the State <br /> Auditor. <br /> <br /> If you would like to take advantage of any of these services or discuss <br /> other technical assistance which might be available for your project~ <br /> please contact Lloyd D.
