McGinnis, County Manager <br /> <br /> RE: Miscellaneous Engineering Services <br /> <br /> Gentlemen: <br /> <br />We herewith offer you engineering services in connection with <br />--'~/~ miscellaneous projects for which Cabarrus County needs an engineering <br /> consultant. These services shall include, but not necessarily be <br />limited to the following categories as set forth in three parts: <br /> <br /> Part I - Authorization for Services <br /> Part II - Compensation <br /> HDR Part lll - General Conditions Part I - Authorization for Services <br /> <br /> We will perform engineering services for projects designated by the <br /> County Manager or a duly authorized representative. <br /> <br /> The scope of work and authorizqtion to proceed will be confirmed in <br /> writing by HDR to the person authorizing the work to be performed. <br /> Upon authorization, the work will be completed expeditiously. <br /> <br /> Part II - Compensation <br /> <br /> For services rendered under Part I of this Agreement, we will be paid <br /> a fee based on a factor of 2.5 times our payroll costs plus out-of- <br /> pocket expenses. Payroll costs include costs of salaries and of <br /> mandatory and customary benefits such as statutory employee benefits, <br /> insurance, pensions, holidays, and similar benefits. <br /> <br /> We will submit invoices for these services to the County on a monthly <br /> basis as the work progresses. ~ <br /> <br /> <br />
