RESOLUTION GRANTING CONSENT FOR PIEDMONT AREA <br /> MENTAL HEALTH~ ~NTAL RETARDATION, AND SUBSTANCE <br /> ABUSE AUTHORITY TO HOLD TITLE TO <br /> REAL PROPERTY AND TO ACQUIRE THE SAME <br /> <br /> WHEREAS the North Carolina General Assembly has amended G.S.122-35.53 <br />(c) to grant area mental health~ mental retardation and substance abuse <br />authorities authority to hold title to real property and the authority to acquire <br />the same upon the consent of all boards of commissions of all counties <br />which comprise the area authority; and <br /> <br /> ~{EREAS Piedmont Area Mental Health, Mental Retardation, and Substance <br />Abuse Authority which is comprised of the counties of Cabarrus, Stanly, and <br />Union has requested that the aforementioned consent be given by the Boards <br />of Commissioners of each affected county, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS it is in the best interest of all concerned the aforementioned <br />consent be given, <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that Board of Commissioners of Cabarrus <br />County hereby gives its consent pursuant to G.S.122-35.53 (c) for Piedmont <br />Area Mental Health, Mental Retardation, and Substance Abuse Authority to <br />hold title to real property and to acquire the same. <br /> <br /> This day of , 1984~ <br /> <br /> Chairman <br /> <br /> <br />
