SCOPE OF SERVICI~ FOR <br /> REVISION OF PERSONNEL ORDINANCE <br /> <br />I. Review the existing personnel ordinance and other germane information. <br /> <br />2. Contact the State Personnel Department, the Association of County <br /> Commissioners, and the Institute of Government to review various state <br /> polieies and legal factors which should be considered. <br /> <br />3. If desired, contact several similar counties regarding their Personnel <br /> Polieies for comparison purposes. <br /> <br />4. Meet with Department heads and other key staff to get their input, e.g. <br /> problems with present policies, suggestions for new or amended policies, etc. <br /> <br />5. Meet with Commissioner individually to get their views regarding present <br /> personnel policies and suggestions for changes. <br /> <br />6. Meet with the Personnel Committee and discuss information developed in Steps <br /> 1-5. <br /> <br />7. Working with the County Manager, write a preliminary draft of the ordinance <br /> revision; distribute to department heads, key staff and Personnel Committee. <br /> <br />8. Meet with those department heads and key staff who want to request additional <br /> amendments. <br /> ¢ <br />9. Hold work session(s) with Personnel Committee~ make any amendments necessary. <br /> <br />10. Present recommendations to Commissioners. <br /> <br />11. Rewrite as necessary to incorporate any changes the Commissioner may have <br /> made and type for publication. <br /> <br /> <br />
