PETITION FOR THE EXTENSION OF TNE BOUNDARIES OF THE K~JqNAPOLIS SANITARY DISTRICT To the Board of Con~nissioners of the Kannapolis Sanitary Distrlct~ Th~ undersigned, owners of all of the land described herelnbelow, respectfully petition that all necessary action required by Article 13 of Chapter 130 of the General Statutes of North Carolina for the extension of the boundaries of the Kannapolis Sanitary District in Cabarrus and Rowan Counties be taken so as to annex said land include the same within the boundaries of the said Kannapolis Sanitary District under the authority of said Article 2 of chapter 139Aof the General Statutes of North Carolina. The purpose of this petition is the annexation of the land or t~rritory described below to said Kannapolis Sanitary District so that said district will include said territory within its boundaries and so that water and sewerage facilitie~ and other utilities and services Which said district is authorized to provide may be provided in said territory for the preservation .a~d promotion of the public health and sanitary welfare therein. The petitioners understand that ~1 costs for the installation of the necessary water and sewer lines in the territory hereinafter described and the connection thereof to ~he e×ist~ng lines of the district and legal expenses.and costs O~'annexati0n~.will be at their expense, that all water and~sewer lines Will be installed in accordance with the plans and specifications approved by th~' district, and that all work and other ~tters done in connection %$ith said annexation will be in accordance with the provisions of the district's rules, regulations and policies. The petitioners further understand that following annexation of the territory, the lines installed will become the property of the Kannapolis Sanitary District and the district will service and maintain said lines~ The boundaries of the territory pRtitioned to be annexed to and included in the Kannapolis Sanitary District are as follows: BEGINNING at an iron stake located in the boundary line of the Kannapolis Sanitary District, this stake being at the Southeastern corner of the Kannapolis Sanitary District's Washington Lane pump station lott and runs thenc~ along the line of the Kannapolis Sanitary District as it'meanders in a Northwesterly direction along a branch and continuing along said branch in eight courses as follows: (1) approximately North 10 West 110 feet, more or less, to an iron stake, an old corner of R. M. Sappenfield; (2) North 46-02 West 71.3 feet to a stake; (3) North 14-32 West 65.5 feet to a sta~e; (4) North 32-28 East 42 feet to a stake; (5) Norfh 14-32 West 55.8 feet to a stake; {6) North 52-02 West 136.2 feet to a stake; {7) North 17-58 East 66.7 feet to a stake; and (8) North 34-02 West 84 feet to a stake; thence North 4-28 East 53.48 feet to a point; thence North 30-25 West 150 feet, more or less, to an iron stake; thence South 67-27-20 West 415.74 feet to an iron stake; thence North 20-13-05 East 420.29 feet to an iron pipe in the Southern edge of an unopened street; thence along the Southern edge of said unopened street, South 74-42 East 1145~58 feet to an iron stake; thence North 7-00-40 East 337.06 feet to an iron stake; thence South 86-04-40 East 47.94 feet to an iron stake in the Western.edge of the unopened portion of Woods Lane; thence along the edge of Woods Lane South 1-55 West 762.38 feet to a stake; thence Nort~ 84-54-30 West 115.63 feet to an iron stake; thence South 6-49 West 159.6 feet to an iron stake; thence North 83v24 West 256.68 feet to an iron pipe on the Western edge of Mt.
