SCOPE OF SERVICES PROPOSED FOR <br /> CABARRUS COUNTY COURTIIOUSE "PROPOSED !982 NEEDS" <br /> <br /> We offer our architectural/engineering services to include the following <br /> categories of work: <br /> <br /> Part I - Basic Design Services <br /> Pert II - Verification of Existing Systems <br /> Part III - Contract Administration <br /> Part IV - Miscellaneous Architect/Engineering Cervices <br /> <br /> PART % - BASIC DESIGN SERVICES <br /> <br /> Perform the following services: <br /> <br /> 1. Prepare plans and specifications for construction of renovation <br /> and modificatioa described in attached "Proposed 1982 Needs" with <br /> the following provisions: <br /> <br /> (a) That the structure is adequate to support all new <br /> construction work including materials and equipment and to <br /> support the type of occupancy proposed for designated areas. <br /> <br /> (b) That the work required for the mechanical~ phlmbing and <br /> electrical systems will be limited to extending or <br /> connecting to existing systems at the location in the <br /> building where renovations o~ ~Ddifications are proposed <br /> without revisions to present systems. <br /> <br />The estimated fee for Services in Part t would be ~20i000. <br /> <br />PART II - VERIFICATION OF EXISTING SYSTEMS <br /> <br />Prior to beginning the work as described in Part I, verification that the <br />existing structure, mechanical, plumbing and electrical systems are <br />adequate for the proposed work will be necessary. ~ere adequate and <br />sufficient information cannot be provided by the County or where <br />additional services will be required to verify such adequacy then the <br />following work is proposed: <br /> <br /> 1. Verify capability of the existing structure and struatural <br /> systems to support all new work and type of occupancy proposed <br /> for designated areas. <br /> <br /> 2. Verify capacities and condition of all existing mmchanical, <br /> plumbing and electrical equipment and systems to determine that <br /> those systems are adequate to provide the necessary services for <br /> those areas of proposed modification or renovations. <br /> <br /> 3. Appraise the Owner of existing conditions and assist in <br /> determination of feasibility of proceeding with Pa~t I. <br /> <br />The fee for services required in Part II would be a fe~ based on our <br />payroll cost times a factor of 2.5 plus our out-of-pocket expenses, <br /> <br /> <br />
