AGREEMENT FoR THE CO-OPERATIVE <br /> PURCHASE OF FIRE FIGIITIMG FOil! <br /> FOR TIlE <br /> FIRE DEPARTMENTS OF CABARRUS COUNTY, N.C. <br /> <br /> Recognizing the potential for a fire requiring an extensive amount of fire <br />fighting foam in Cabarrus County, and the inability for fire departments to individually <br />purchase and store sufficient foam concentrate for all situations, we, the (Board of <br /> <br />Directors or Governing Body) of Fire Department do enter into this <br /> <br />agreement to co-operatively purchase a stock pile of foam concentrate, <br /> <br /> The conditions of this agreement are: <br /> <br /> (1) Initial funding for this agreement will be $2,000; 50% of whicb shall be <br /> provided by the County of Cabarrus, the other 50% shall be divided equally <br /> between the fire departments of Cabarrus County, <br /> <br />(2) The type and brand name of foam to be purchased shall be decided by a majority <br /> of the Cabarrus County Fire Chief's Association and the Cabarrus County Fire <br /> Marshal. <br /> <br />(3) The foam containers shall be marked for identification and stored at a location <br /> or locations agreed upon by a majority of the Cabarrus County Fire Chief's <br /> Association and the Cabarrus County Fire Marshal. <br /> <br />(4) ~q~en the foam is needed at an emergency scene the officer in charge of the <br /> incident shall request the foam be brought to the scene through the Cabarrus <br /> Fire Communications Center. The department(s) storing the foam shall take <br /> the foam to the requesting department, <br /> <br />(5) A department using any of the foam will be financially responsible for the <br /> replacement of the amount used. Replacement foam shall be the same type used <br /> or a type agreed upon by the Cabarrus County'Fire Chief's Association and the <br /> Cabarrus County Fire Marshal. <br /> Replacement foam shall be ordered witbin two working days of use. Acceptable <br /> type(s) of replacement foam shall be decided upon in advance of use and a list <br /> of acceptable type(s) shall be on file at the Cabarrus County Fire Marshal's <br /> office along with a list of vendors. <br /> <br />(6) The Cabarrus County Fire Marshal shall maintain a inventory list of types and <br /> quantities of foam oa hand, and shall be responsible to see that the foam is <br /> replaced in accordance with this agreement. <br /> <br />We enter into this agreement and will conform to all conditions set forth in it. <br /> <br /> Signed <br /> President/Mayor/City Manager <br /> <br /> Fire Department <br /> <br />I certify that executed the foregoing instrument this the <br /> day of , 19 __ <br /> (Seal) <br /> Notary Public <br />My co~missioo expires <br /> <br /> I <br /> <br /> <br />
