RESOLUTION CABARRUS CDBG COMNUNITY REVITALIZATION PROOECT AUTNORIZING RESOLUTION WBEREAS, various State and Federal agencies provide grants to local govern- ments to finance the cost of revitalizing commnnities; and WHEREAS, the Oepartment of Natural Resources and Community Development will be the State administering agency for the Community Develop~ent Block Grant Program; and WHEREAS, the Community Development Block Grant Program is primarily de- signed to improve the living conditions and environment of low and moderate income households; and WHEREAS, the Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners have solicited and received citi zen input regarding housing improvements i n the Shankl etown Community and sewer improvements in the Sitverhill Co~mnuoity. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF CABARRUS COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA: 11 That Cabarrus County will substantially comply with all Federal, State and local laws, rules, regulations and ordinances applicable to the project and to Federal and State grants pertaining thereto. 2. That Charles McGinnis, Manager, and successors se titled, is hereby authorized to develop, execute, and file an application on behalf of Cabarrns County to appropriate Federal and State agencies to secure funds for housing improve- ments and sewer improvements. 3. That Charles McGinnis, Manager, and successors so titled, is hereby authorized and directed to furnish such information as the appropriate governmental agencies may request in connection with such applications for the project; to make the assurances and certifications as contained above; to administer the Block grant and to execute such other documents as may be required in connection with tile administration and completion of the project.
