14. Applicants will comply with all applicable federal, state and local <br /> laws and regnlations. <br /> <br />15. Applicants will comply with the mlalmL~a wage and maximum hours <br /> provision of the Faders! Fair Lnbor Standards Act. <br /> <br />16. Projects m~y be cancelled if not stetted within fifteen% days after <br /> project approval. <br /> <br />17, No grant funds can be expended for work accomplished or snpplies <br /> purchased before the project approval date. <br /> <br />18. Maximum grant amount is $50,000 for local governme.~ts. <br /> <br />19. Priocity will be given to applicants in counties with the highest <br /> unemplo~nent, based on the fourth quarter of 1982. <br /> <br />20. Grant funds may be expended for labor and for plantings and supplies <br /> to accomplish the following types of work: pla~ting of t~ees, shrubs <br /> and flowers; replanting; bedding for flowers; grassing; earthen or <br /> wood packed trails; and other traditions! types of landscaping work. <br /> <br />21. No administrative cost, travel, equipment purchase or i~dlrect cost <br /> may be charged against the grant. <br /> <br />22. The rate o~ pay will be a minimum $~.35/hour for laborers; foremen <br /> may be paid up to $6.00/hour. <br /> <br />23. A minimum of 60% of grant funds must be used for labor. Up to 40% can <br /> be used to purchase plantings end supplies. <br /> <br />24. Gra~ts awarded are 100% federal fnnds; no match is required. <br /> <br />25. All procedures for purchasing and for cootracting must be i~ compliance <br /> with federal regulations and state laws dealing With counties and <br /> municipalities. <br /> <br /> <br />
