CABARRUS COUNTY
Post Office Box 707
CONCORD. NORTH CAROLINA 28025

June 29, 1983

NEMORANDUM

TO: Charles NcGinnis, County Manager

FROM: Thomas B. Robinson, Planning Director ~

SUBJECT: Board of Commissioner Approval of Revised KANLACON
Transportation Study Agreement

The recent passage of the $0.05 Gas tax has changed the required matching
ratio for the on-going KANLACON Transportation Study from 80%State - 20% local
to 85% State - 15% local. In order to affect this change the KANLACON
Transportation Study Agreement needs to be revise~. Four other minor Change~
are also sought by the State. They are referencedon the cover letter from Mr.
Marion R. Poole. I concur with all of these changes and recommend that the
Board of Co~issioners approve this revised transportation agreement.

Three copies of the agreement must be signed (but not d~ted) and sent
back to the State for their execution. I will be happy to attend the Board
meeting to go over this amendment if you desire.

TBR/sss

Attachment
