SPECIFICATIONS <br /> <br /> Seop~ <br /> This specification sets forth the general product requirements for a electro- <br /> mechanical filing, storage, and retrieval system. <br /> <br /> Power Requirements <br /> Single phase grounded electrical service of no less than 20 amperes with a voltage <br /> of 105 VAC to 125 VAC from 50 to 60 Hz. <br /> <br /> Ruman Factors <br /> The location of controls shall be within arm's reach when sitting or standing <br /> at the posting board. At the sitting level, the bottom surface of the posting <br /> board shall be no more than 26½" from the floor and the top surface shall be no <br /> more than 29%" from the floor in the 11" pitch units. ~n the 13" pitch units, it <br /> shall be no more than 24%" and 27%" respectively from the floor. In the standing <br /> position, the top surface shall be no more than 40%" from the floor. <br /> <br /> Safety <br />Safety devises shall be designed to stop the conveyor system if any obstruction <br />exists between the carrier and posting board or sliding door. Two non-identical <br />systems shall be Incorporated to provide redundancy. Maximum safe stopping <br />distance of the conveyor system shall not exceed one (1) inch. <br /> <br />The safety system shall be comprised of indicators located at the posting board <br />level and at the security door level. <br /> <br />A second safety system shall be comprised of a safety bar located at botk the <br />posting board level and at the security door level. <br /> <br />Should any of the safety systems described be activated the system will stop its <br />movement and the operator will be notified by visual indicators. <br /> <br />The system shall inform the operator as to the nature of the safety activation by <br />means of a safety status panel. This status panel will consist of a series of <br />indicator lights displaying the status bf the following areas: <br /> <br /> I. Normal <br /> 2. Security Door <br /> 3. Upper Safety bar <br /> 4. Upper safety eye <br /> 5. Posting ~oard Latch <br /> 6. Lower Safety Eye <br /> 7. Lower Safety Bar <br /> 8. Access Panel <br /> <br />Additional safety switches shall control the lower access panel and the concealment <br />panel so as to prevent machine automatically operating while these panels are no~ in <br />place. <br /> <br /> <br />
