Hunt, Jr. signed a proclamation declaring <br /> thelweek or.September 18 through September 24, 1983 to be Nocth'Cacoli~a Emergency <br /> ~Medicai S~r~i~ week.~ <br /> <br /> The Governor's proclamation establishes a week of recognition of all the individuals <br /> involved with the life saving medical care of their fellow citizens in North <br /> Carolina. <br /> <br /> The Emergency Medical Services system in your county is a part of the North <br /> Carolina EMS system. The dedication of the EMT's operating the ambulance and <br /> rescue services, whether they are volunteer or professionals, is clearly indicated <br /> by their continuing pursuite of advanced emergency medical training, their improved <br /> communications network and modern emergency equipment, and their willingness to <br /> promote good will within the community, particularly with their support of public <br /> CPR training. <br /> <br /> I am respectfully requesting the Board of Commissioners to endorse the Governor's <br /> proclamation and to declare a county ~iS Week to coincide with the State ~=xlS Week, <br /> September 18 - 24, 1983. <br /> <br /> I would also appreciate a copy of the proclamation to be sent to my office. <br /> <br /> Thank you for your cooperation. <br /> <br /> SB/pwb <br /> <br /> <br />
