ARTICLE VI. LEAVES OF ABSENCE <br /> <br />Section 12. Sick Leave - Manner of Accumulation <br /> <br />Anniversary date of employment shall be used for determining earned sick <br />leave. For the p~rpo~e of calculating sick leave, the basic workweek shall <br />be forty (40) hoursg Ea~H'~ull-time permanent and probationary employee <br />working the basic workweek shall earn sick leave at the rate of one (1) <br />day for each completed month, or twelve (12) days for each completed year <br />of service. .. <br /> <br />RECO}D~NDED CIL~NGE <br /> <br />ARTICLE VI. For the purpose of calculating sick leave, the basic workweek shall <br />be forty (40) hours. Each full-time permanent and Probationary employee <br />working the basic workweek si~all earn sick leave at the rate of eight (8) <br />hours for each Completed month, or ninety-six (96) ho~rs for each Completed <br />year of service. <br /> <br />Emergency medical service personnel shall earn sick leave at the rate of <br />twelve (i2) hours for each completed month, or one hundred forty-four (14~) <br />hours for each completed year of service. Emergency medical per§onnel shall <br />be charged on an hour for hour basis for sick leave taken. <br /> <br /> <br />
