ARTICLE VI. LEAVES OF ABSENCE <br /> <br />Section i2. Sick Leave - Manner of Accumulation <br /> <br />Anniversary date of employment shall be used for determining earned sick <br />leave. For the purpose of calculating sick leave, the basic workweek <br />shall be forty (40) hours. Each full-time permanent and probationary <br />employee working the basic workweek shall earn sick leave at the rate <br />of eight (8) hours for each completed month, or ninety-six (96) hours <br />for each completed year of service. <br /> <br />Emergency medical service personnel shall earn sick leave at the rate of <br />twelve (12) hours for each completed month, or one hundred forty-four <br />(144) hours for each completed year of service. Emergency medical <br />personnel shall be charged on an hou~ for hour basis for sick leave <br />taken. <br /> <br />PROPOSED ORIGINAL WORDING AND (RECOb~NDED CHANGE) <br /> <br />ARTICLE VI.
