inspect the plumbing on a customer's property. This may be done <br />the case of an abnbrmally large water bill, in cases of extreme water <br />wastage, use of water detrimental to'the County System, or other <br />reasons deemed necessary by the County. <br />Discontinuance of Service <br /> <br /> Request for discontinuance of water service must be received by <br />the County at least three (3) working days prior to requested <br />cut-off. All water charges must be paid including water used to the <br />time of cut-off. No liability will be assumed by the County for <br />damage to customer's property resulting from discontinuance of <br />service. <br /> <br />Removal of Meter <br /> <br /> A delinquent water bill of 45 days, as well as other causes <br />specified herein (see, for example, cause set out in Section II~ <br />Subsection "Right to Not Allow Service"), will constitute]grounds'for_ <br />meter removal. In addition, a property owner may request removal of <br />his meter. In order to have the meter reinstalled, the standard <br />meter charge must be paid as specified herein, pl~ an~ unpaid water <br />charges; provided, however, that no ~mter will be removed from the <br />property occupied by others than the owner of the property without <br />the County first sending notice of its intention to remove the meter <br />to the last known, or best known, address of the Owner of the <br /> <br />property. A person purchasing property where the meter has been <br />removed for non-payment of bills will become a new customer and may ) <br /> / <br />obtain services by paying the standard meter installation charge. <br /> <br />Refusal to Accept Meter (Option A) <br /> <br /> -6- <br /> <br /> <br />
