III - EXTENSION POLICIES <br /> <br /> A, By Petition <br /> <br /> Petitions will be required for extension of water services, and <br />must be in writing and signed by the owner(s) or developer(s) <br />desiring water service. The petition will be filed with the County <br />Water Department and will specify the name, mailing address, block <br />and lot numbers, name of person responsible for payment of water <br />billing, if different than that on the petition, and type of service <br />required. Each petitioner shall agree to be responsible for at least <br />the minimum monthly charge from the time the water becomes available <br />in the line. <br /> <br /> B. Processin9 of Petition <br /> <br /> Upon receipt of a sufficient number of petitions, studies will be <br />made to determine the feasibility of installing a water main, and if <br />impractical, the petitions will be kept on file for later <br />consideration. If the project is feasible and approved by the County <br />Commissioners, the property owners adjacent to the line may apply for <br />a meter at the standard meter charge. The applicant also agrees to <br />pay at least the minimum monthly charge after becoming a County water <br />customer. <br /> <br /> C. Subdivision Extensions <br /> <br /> A developer desiring to connect a new subdivision will be <br /> required to install the water mains, service lines, meter mounts, <br /> meter boxes, hydrants, valves, and appurtenances at his own expense. <br /> Lines must be installed to County standards on public rights-of-way <br /> or on a minimum 20 ft. wide dedicated easement and deeded to the <br /> <br /> -8- <br /> <br /> <br />
