Following Is a reco~m~endat~on for covering complaint~ involving evening and
week-en~ hours. I was asked to formulate this recoramendatlon as an alternative

Hire ~hree part time men to alternnte evening and ~'eek-end bents. These men
would rotate the following schedule:

~ENING HOURS
~{onday-Friday 5:00 P~I - 8:O0 P}d Answer calls taken after
4:30 P}~i and contact residents

during regular office hours
On Call Remainder
Of Evening ~ Night

SATURDAY HOURS lO:00 A~i - 1:OO P~l ~%'ork a~ Animal Sbelter during

On Cat] Remainder
of Day ~ Night

SUNDAY HOURS On Call Ail Day
~ Night

CO~T One Day in Court
per 3~onth

The expense to the county would be:

SALARY S,t.50 per hour Based on lowest base pay of
present full time wardens.
Cost to the county would be
approximately $365 per month for
regularly scheduled hours. In
addition $4.50 per bout for all
time spen~ investigating "after-
hour" complaints and time spent
in court.

~fILEAGE 21~ per mile For all on-the-job travel expense

The recommendation is to hir~ three men to rotate on a scbeduled basis rather than
simply to hire one part time warden because a responsible person who hss another job during
the day would not be willing to stay home consistently to be on cull sevee days n week.
It is much more reasonable to expect someone to work two or three evenings per week.
