7. The Council shall serve as purchasing agent for the aforesaid equipment. 8. Title no the aforesaid equipment, upon delivery and acceptance thereof, shall be vested in the County , and all Warranties shall simiiar!y become vested to the County Any agreements for the servicing of said equipmeet shall be made directly between the Rescue Squad and the vendor. 9. The County agrees to mmintain and administer, ~a accordance '~ith sound business practice, a program for the maintenance, repair, protection, preservation, control, of, and accountability for the eqttipm~nc so as tn assure its full availability and usefulness for its intended function. Property management and disposition shall be governed by the provisions of Title 45, CFR Part 74, Subpart -0. !0. The County agrees to affix a unique identification number (that is permanently attached ~or inventory purposes) en each item of the aforesaid equipment. Within thirty (30) days fo!!o,~ng the installa- tion and acceptanc~ of the equipment, the County shall submit to the Council a document verifying the identification number, location, model number, serial number (if applicable) znd condition of all equipment purchased under'this agreement. ii. The __County agrees to ensure that ail persons who use amy medical equipment p~rchased under this contract shall receive any special training required for proper operatiou or utilization of said equipment. 12. The County agrees that it will non dispose of, or transfer title to, and equipment obtained under this agreement without the prior written approval of the Council. 13. The County agrees to provide continuing service and maintain ail equipment procured under this agreement in satisfactory working order for a minimum period of five (5) years from the initial equipment acceptance. 14. The County agrees to maintain accurate and complete records per-' raining to the procurement, maintenance, and licensure (if applicable) of ail equipment purchased' under this agreement, and to make these records available upon request for review by representatives of the Council or of the N. C. Department of Human Resources during normal business hours. i5. The County agrees that no person shall be excluded from partici- pation in, be denied the benefits of~ or otherwise be subjected to dis- crimination on the grounds of race, color, sex, creed, national origin, or any handicapping condition.
