~B~G CO~ ~RG~ SERVICES EQUCP~N~ THIS AG~T, ~de and e~er~d;~¢o:¢h~s Y O~ , ~82, ~S the ~o,m~'¢ , and the C~I~ C~ClL OF ~tTS~ here~nai~er re~erred as the Count{l; WITI, IESSETH: ~EREAS, Cjbarrus County desires to improve their emergency U~dical sa~ices program, and has submitted co the Council a proposal for such improvements; and ~EREAS, said proposal was included in the LLMS Area III Emersencv Medical Services System Expansion - 1204(1) application prepared bM the Council for submittal to the U. S. DePartment of Health and H~man services through the N. C. Department of Human Resources; and ~ERF.~S, the Council's application, including the County's proposal, has been approved and subsequently funded; NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of the premises and payment Of the funds as hereinafter set forth, both the County and the Council do mutually agree to the following: A. G~.--'NE'RALUNDERST~NDINGS 1. The Council agrees to provide or ~o cause to be provided those certain items of ~m~,o-~ ~h,~n~ ~,,~n set forth in Exhibit A, attached hereto and in~orp%rated herein~ b~ reference. 2. The Council agrees to pay 60% of the ~otal purchase price of those cer- tain items set forth in Exhibit A, provided that' under no circumstances shall the amount paid by the Council exceed $2,05% County 3. The J. or ~q-~d3_ agrees to provide toward the total purchaae price an amount equal to at least 40% of the total purchase price of items set forth in Exhibit A. 4. Payment of funds by 'the Council as specified in this agreement is depen- dent upon and subject to the Council's receipt of funds allocated and appropriated for this purchase from the N. C. Department of Huma~ Resources. 5.
