ReSolution Passed by <br /> The County Commissioners of the County of <br /> cabarrus, North Carolina <br /> <br /> THAT 9~EREAS~ it is recognized that the proper movement of <br /> travel within and through the Concord-Kannapolis urban area is a <br /> highly desirable element of a comprehensive plan for tile orderly <br /> growth and development of the area; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, there are a number of goverrmlental jurisdictions with- <br />in the Concord-Kannapolis urban area which have been authorized im- <br />plementation and regulatory responsibilities for transportation by <br />North Carolina General Statutes; and <br /> <br /> %~EREAS, it is desirable that a coordinated, comprehensive, <br />and cooperation transportation planning process be maintained in <br />the Concord-Kannapolis urban area to insure that the transporta- <br />tion system is maintained oll an efficient and economical basis <br />con~ensurate with the public health, safety, and welfare; and <br /> <br /> ~{EREAS, a Memorandum of Understanding between the City of <br />Concord, The Town of china Grove, The Town of Landis, County of <br />Cabarrus, County of Rowan, and North Carolina Department of Trans- <br />portation has been prepared that sets forth the responsibilities <br />and working arrangements for maintaining a continuing, comprehen- <br />sive, and cooperative transportation planning process; and <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF C05~ISSIONERS <br />OF THE COUNTY OF CABARRUS, NORTH CAROLINA: <br /> <br /> That the Memorandum of Understanding between the City of Con- <br />cord, The To%~ of China Grove, The Town of Landis, County of Cabar- <br />rus, County of Rowan, and North Carolina Board of Transportation, <br />Agreement Number 10-6-80, be approved and that the Chairperson of <br />the County Board of Commissioners and County Clerk are hereby di- <br />rected to execute the Memorandllm of Understanding. <br /> <br /> I, , Clerk of the County of Cabarrus, <br />North Carolina, do hereby certify that the above is a true and <br />correct copy of excerpts from the minutes of the Board of Com- <br />missioners.of said County. <br /> <br /> WITNESS my hand and the official seal of the County of Cabar- <br />rus this the day of <br /> <br /> ATTEST (Seal) <br /> <br /> Connty Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
