TIlE DART SYSTEI,!

Spectrum, Inc is proud to announce its newest crime prevention system. The
Digital Alarm Report Traosmission system, or DART for short, now offers our alarm
subscribers the fastest, most reliable and trouble free alarm reporting system
known to the alarm industry. It gives instant alarm information co the local
authorities and thus~ greatly speeds response t~mes to tile alarm.

It is capable of reporting eight (8) types of violations such as fire, holdup
burglary, persoeai safety, medical assistance needed, failure of environmental
systems~ and many others.

The DART system, in its simplist form, consxsts of a digital transmitter located
at the subscriber's premises and a digital receiver located at the County Emergency
Communications Center. When activated, the transml.tter places a telephone call to the
receiver and identifies itself. It then tells the receiver what type of alarm ba.~
occurred. The receiver then gives an audible signal ~o the dispatcher and p~ints out
s paper copy of the alarm transmission so that he can dispatch tile proper agency [o
respond to the emergency. All of this sounds like a time consuming operation but
actually it takes less than fifteen (15) seconds from the initial activation until
the information is.printed. No precious time is wasted, and the informatio~ is totally
accurate. The dispatcher can instantly reference the alert to ~ecords of name,
~ddress, phone numbers, relatives or authorized persons to be aotifidd, and special
inslructions. The DART system may be used slone with wired o~ portable wireless
pushbuttons for manual ac£ivatioo and it can also be connected to automatic sensors
or existing alarm systems. The ~ART system ~s compatible with all types of ~larm
systems on tbe market today.

~Spectrum, loc. offers a spoc[al feature of second number dialing for alarms not
~equiring emergency help. Fo~ instance, the DART cound notify a neighbor that ~be
temperature had risen above certain limits in a freezer while the subscriber was away
on vacation, or that water had flooded the basement. The options are limited only
by the needs and imagination of the subscriber.

P.O. 8ox 748 2200 Kannapolis Hwy. Kannapo8s.
