COOPERATION AGREEmeNT BET~]EN THE TOWN OF MOUNT PLEAS~J~T. <br /> NORTH CAROLINA AND CABARRUS COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA FOR <br /> THE ASSEMBLAGE~ SUBMITTAL AND ADMINISTRATION OF AN IN <br /> BEHALF OF CO~UNITY DEVELOPmeNT APPLICATION <br /> <br />The Tov~ of Mount Pleasant and Cabarrus County recognize the need to <br />assist low and moderate income persons ~o improve their physical, <br />e~onomic and social environmenn. A concentration of low and moderate <br />income families reside in an area of physical decline falling within <br />the jurisdiction of Mount Pleasant. To aid these individuals through <br />community revitilization activities, the Town of Mount Pleasant and <br />Cabarrus County agree to: <br /> <br />1. Have Cabarrus County submit an In Behalf Of Application for the <br /> Town of Mount Pleasant for Community Revilization funding from <br /> the Con. unity Development Block Grant Program being administered <br /> by the North Carolina Department of Natural Resources and <br /> Community Development. <br /> <br />2. Have the County of Cabarrus to assemble, submit, and administer <br /> the Community Development Program in its entirety. <br /> <br />3. Have the Town of Mount Pleasant to permit water and sewer taps <br /> onto its system, having excess capacity, where appropriate. <br /> <br /> Have the Tov~ of Mount Pleasant own, budget~ and assess adequate <br /> funds to operate and maintain all proposed water and sewer <br /> facilities affected by this Community Development Block Grant <br /> Proposal. <br /> <br /> <br />
