RESOLUTION <br /> <br />~ER~kS; Title I of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974 as amended <br />in 1981 ( P.L. 93-393) and State Laws establishing State Departments, Institutions, <br />and Cormnissions ( G.S. 143-323) and the Executive Organization Act of 1973 <br /> <br />( G.S. 143B-276 and 277) anthorizes the State of North Carolina to undertake the <br />North Carolina Community Development Block Grant Program , and <br /> <br />k~EREAS; Subchapter 13L-North Carolina Community Development Block Grant Program, <br />Section .0200-.0201. permits all counties to apply for CDBG funding, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS; The Board of County Commissioners of Cabarrus County recognizes the needs <br />of the Shanktetown area such as deteriorating housing, unpaved streets, an inade- <br />quate water system, and poor storm water drainage, <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Cabarrus <br />County, North Carolina that: <br /> <br /> 1. The application requesting funding under the Community Revital- <br /> ization category of the North Carolina Small Cities Community <br /> Development Block Grant Program is hereby approved. <br /> <br /> 2. The Chairman of the Bdard of County Commissioners of Cabarrus <br /> County is authorized to execute said application and the filing <br /> with the North Carolina Department of Natural Resources ~nd <br /> Con, unity Development is hereby approved. <br /> <br />Resolution passed and adopted by the Cabarrus County Board of County Commissioners <br />this 6th day of July , 1982. <br /> <br /> Ralph C.
