In Subsequent actiOn the Recreation Commission voted to amend <br /> their request to the Cabarrus Board of Commissioners for <br /> additional funding for the Grants Program. The 8oard voted to <br /> withdraw their August 26 request to you for an additional <br /> appropriation of $44,000 and recommend that an additional <br /> appropriation of $20,000 be allocated to the Parks and Recreation <br /> Department for this program. This would bring the total budget <br /> ~or the Grants Program for this Fiscal year to $30,000 of <br /> eligible funds to be granted to the grantees. Attached you will <br /> find two proirities sheets indicating Ilow the Board would award <br /> the funds if these additional funds are ma~e available. Moreover, <br /> there is also a sheet indicating how the $10,000 would be <br /> distributed if the 8oard of Commissioners do not allow any <br /> additional funds for this program. <br /> <br /> Resolution 3-The Recreation Commission approved a budget amend~mnt for the <br /> allocation of Revenue Sharing .Funds for this current fiscal <br /> year. Attached you will find a priority sheet indicating how <br /> the Commission would like to expend these funds for this <br /> current fiscal year. As you may recall from-the last Board <br /> of Commissioners meeting some of these expenditures were <br /> included in the general contract award and the cost of these <br /> items are reflected in this budget amendment. <br /> <br /> Resolution 4-The Recreation Commission approved the insurance underwriters <br /> of Hathaway,Oenkins & Braziel of Raleigh, underwriters for <br /> State Automobile Accident Insurance, to administer the County <br /> Recreation Department's athletic accident insurance program <br /> for 1983.
