S. Vector - An insect or other animal which transmits infectious <br /> diseases from one person or animal to another. <br /> <br /> T. Si)oiled Food - Means any food which has been removed from <br /> sale by the United States Department of Agriculture, North <br /> Carolina Department of Agriculture, Food and Drug Administration <br /> or any other regulatory agency having jurisdiction in judging <br /> food unfit for consumption. <br /> <br />U. Local Governing Agency - Refers to incorporated cities, counties <br /> and special purpose districts which are empowered to undertake <br /> solid waste management programs. <br /> <br /> V. Water Supply Watershed - An area from which water drains to a <br /> point or impoundment and the water is then used as a source <br /> , for a public water supply. <br /> <br /> W. Health Director - The director of the Cabarrus County Health <br /> Department'or his authorized representatives. <br /> <br />X. Board of Bealth - The Cabarrus County Board of Health. <br /> <br />Y. County Commissioners - The Board of Commissioners of Cabarrus <br /> County. ' <br /> <br />SECTION II - GENERAL CONDITION <br /> <br />A. All Solid waste shall be stored, collected',, transported, <br /> treated, utilized, processed, reclaimed, recycled and disposed <br /> of in a manner consistent with the requirements and intent of <br /> this ordinance. <br /> <br />B. Notwithstanding other provisions of this ordinaace, no <br /> radioactive solid waste shall be collected and transported, <br /> stored, treated, processed., or reclaimed, except as specifically <br /> authorized by a radioactive material license issued by the <br /> State Division of Facilities Services, Radiation Protection <br /> Branch. No radioactive solid wastes shall be disposed of in <br /> Cabarrus County without prior approval of the Health Director. <br /> <br />C. Regulations p~rtaining to the management of solid waste may <br /> be promulgated by the County Commissioners or the Board of <br /> Health. <br /> <br /> D. The Health Director shal~ be the primary official charged With <br /> the administration, supervision, execution and initial <br /> enforcement of regulations pertaining to the management of <br /> solid waste. <br /> <br /> -3- <br /> <br /> <br />
