BALLFIELD/TENNIS LIGHTING POLES <br /> <br />a. General Specifications <br /> <br /> These poles shall be used to install ballfield and tennis lighting for <br /> various parks th~ou§hout Cabarrus County. They shall be (as specified). <br /> Poles shall be class (as required), with a retention of .45 lbs of <br /> Pentachlorophenol Pressure Treatment (or an approved equal), and meet <br /> AWPA-PB-CLq specifications. The poles shall be provided with a zinc <br /> or aluminum roof attached with non-corrosive nails. <br /> <br /> b. Base Bid <br /> <br /> The vendor shall provide the cost of providin§ a combination of Yellow <br /> Pine and Doug]as Fir as specified on the attached Bid Sheet. <br /> <br />c. Alternate I <br /> <br /> The vendor shall provide tile cost of providing all Yellow Pine as specified <br /> on the attached Bid Sheet. The County will choose either the Base Bid, <br /> Alternate I or Alternate Il, whichever is deemed to be in the best interest <br /> of Cabarrus County by the Cabarrus Board of Commissioners. <br /> <br />d. Alternate II <br /> <br /> The vendor shall provide the cost of providing all Douglas Fir as specified <br /> on the attached Bid Sheet. The County will choose either the Base Bid, <br /> Alternate ! or Alternate II, whichever is deemed to be in the best interest <br /> of Cabarrus County by the Cabarrus Board of Commissioners. <br /> <br />e. Pole Straightness <br /> <br /> Po]es must meet ANSI 05.1-1979 Specifications as a minimum standard for <br /> all poles specified. Poles delivered not meeting these specifications <br /> will be returned at the.vendor's expense or tile Couoty will reserve the <br /> right to forfeit their bid bond as liquidated damages. <br /> <br /> <br />
