-2- <br /> <br /> ~greed upon at the tim~! may become parties to this Agreement. <br /> The Commission's initial members shall be appointed <br /> within 90 days from the effective date of this agreement. <br /> Each Participating Unit shall stagger the terms of <br /> initial appointees so that the term of one member shall <br /> expire in each of tile first four years Thereafter, each <br /> Participating Unit shall appoint members for four-year <br /> terms. No member shall serve more than two consecutive <br /> full terms. Vacancies on the Commission will be filled <br /> b~ the Participating Unit which appointed the member <br /> whose absence created the vacancy. <br /> (ii) Members of the Commission shall serve without <br /> co~npensation, other than ceimbursemenc of necessary <br /> expenses while engaged in the work of or for the Commission, <br /> which reimbursement shall be subject to limitations fixed <br /> by the Commission and the availability of funds appropriated <br /> to the Commission. <br /> (iii) Members shall be subject to removal with or without <br /> cause at any time in the discretion of the governing <br /> board of tile Participating Unit that made the initial <br /> appointment. <br />B. Organization, Officers, Records <br /> The Commission shall annually elect its own officers <br /> consisting of a Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson, and <br /> select persoes to perform the duties of Secretary and <br /> Treasurer. The Chair shall be rotated each year amo~g <br /> members appointed by each of the Participating Units. <br /> <br /> <br />
