Box 707 <br /> Concord, North Carolina 28025 <br /> <br /> Dear Mr. Charles McGinn~s: <br /> <br />" On closing the final quarter and year of 1980 Vision Cable of Hetrolina <br /> is pleased to report the following progress: <br /> <br /> Cable television service is now available to more [ha~l 7,000 homes <br /> Concord and Kannapolis. <br /> <br /> Cable placement, splicing and activation is complete within the City <br /> of Concord, <br /> <br /> Cable construction has been resumed in Kannspolis and a new sector, <br /> incompassing some 2,000 homes is slated for aztivatio, in early January. <br /> With the completion of this area which is bounded on the north by <br /> Rogers Lak~ Road and Universal Street, construct[on will move into ~ackson <br /> Park. The construction crews will then continue to build northward into <br /> Rowan County, Landis and China Grove as the year progresses. Necessary <br /> pole line rearrangements are curreotly onderway in Kannapolis, Landis, <br /> China Grove and selected unincorporated parts of Cabarrus and Rowan <br /> Counties. <br /> <br /> This quarter also saw tile execution Gl a pole attachmeot agreement between <br /> Vision Cable and Cannon Hills Company thereby making Vision's service <br /> available in those areas where Cannon provides electrical power. <br /> <br /> Cable casting equipment has colltinued £o arrive durieg chis past qua['ter <br /> and studio preparation is under'way. <br /> <br /> 'rile final quarter of 1980 also marked Vision Cable's affiliation with the <br /> Cable News Network. CNN is tile oew satellite delivered, all news service, <br /> of Turner Broadcasting. Cable News Network originates [n Atlanta, Georgia <br /> and is available to Vision Cable's Metro subscribers at no additional charge. <br /> The addition of CNN brings the number of channels availa~ble to Vision Cab|e <br /> subscribers to 26. <br /> <br /> We are looking forward to the completion Gl ~ very substantial pornion of <br /> our total system in 1981.
