McGin~is <br /> FROM: Mike Hunsuck ~ <br /> SUBJECT: February Status Report <br /> <br /> The following is a monthly report for the two CETA programs that <br />operate in the county: <br /> <br /> CETA (PSE) <br /> <br />ENROLLmeNT: (As of February 27, 1981) <br /> <br />Number of people enrolled in Title II-D 21 <br /> <br />Number of people enrolled in Project VI <br /> <br />PAYROLL: <br /> <br /> (a) Number of participants receiving cheeks in February 26 <br /> <br />(b) Amount of February payroll* $ 14,089.05 <br />(c) Number of personnel: administrative 2 <br /> <br /> training <br /> <br />(d) ~nount of traxning costs $ 2,311.70 <br />(e) Amount of administrative costs $ 1,065.33 <br /> <br /> The average cost per participant <br /> to administrate the program (e ~ a) $ 40.97 <br /> <br />COP~ENTS: <br /> <br /> We received the attached memo from DET on Monday which officially <br />informed us that th~ Department of Labor has placed a hiring freeze on <br />all CETA Title II-D and VI programs. Mr. Bill Stewart, an area planner <br />at DET in Raleigh, called us last Wednesday and told us that a hiring <br />freeze was forthcoming, and suggested co us that if we wanted to hire <br />anymore people, we should have them on board by February 27th. We <br />filled our open positions with two clerks ~nd two maintenance men, by <br />the deadline, and now we will not be able to refill any ~uture vacancies <br />unless we hear otherwise from DET in Raleigh. <br /> <br /> <br />
