Howard~'Scarhoro~ Caharrus County Sherfuff's Department, to schedule <br /> and establish agenda for Cabarrus 911 Committee meeting, <br /> <br /> -Attended Cabarrus 911 Committee meeting, <br /> <br />-At the requests of several rescue squads, addressed a memo to emergency <br />department directors at Cabarrus Memorial, Gaston Memorial and Rowan <br />Memorial informing tho.~m as to new squads participating in the ACR system and <br />seeking their support in accepting ED copies of the reports. <br /> <br />-Met with the chairman of Cabarrus County's 911 task force committee to dis- <br />cuss up-coming meetings. <br /> <br />-Developed a preliminary implementation schedule for Cabarrus County's 911 <br />system. <br /> <br />-Met with the Cabarrus County 911 task force to discuss steps toward the <br />implementation of their system. <br /> <br />-Met with Bob Szakal - Continuing Education Coordinator, Rowan Technical <br />Institute, Kannapolis - discussed the CPR program in Cabarrus County and how <br />the COG can help the community college. <br /> <br />-Met with Ben b~brey - ~lS Director, Cabarrus County, discussed the CPR situa- <br />tion in Cabarrus County, <br /> <br />-Met with Virginia Waddell - Cabarrus Red Cross - discussed the Cabarrus CPR <br />situation, <br /> <br /> F,mmu Services Activities <br /> <br />A~in8 <br />Aging staff assisted with budget revisions in the Nutrition Program to incor- <br />porate additional USDA reimbursement and to plan for an additional meal site. <br />They also got new menus approved and conducted an on-site assessment of pro- <br />gress (which will be reported to county manager in April.) <br /> <br />Manpower <br />Manpower staff prepared the plan for the CETA Summer Youth Program awarding <br />about $186,000 to Cabarrus to hire about 70 disadvantaged youth for the summer. <br /> <br />TitleXX <br />Title XX staff participated in the Cabarrus County Interagency Council's needs <br />assessment workshop. <br /> <br /> I <br /> <br /> <br />
