CABARRUS COUNTY <br /> <br /> Physical Plannin~ Activities <br /> <br /> - Began work on Cabarrus County Community Development ^pplication~ <br /> <br /> A-95 Activities <br /> <br /> Received <br /> COG #81-07 RSVP ~ <br /> <br /> Si~ned Off <br /> SC~ #81-1437 ~o~e Start <br /> <br /> Public Safety Act~vit[es <br /> <br /> - Pul ed together documentation on 911 planning in Cabarrus. <br /> <br /> - Worked with Jerry Myers to develop software specifications for 911 survey in <br /> Cabarrus County. <br /> <br /> - Met with Captain George Smith, Concord Police, to complete final progress <br /> repor~ for Concord's Police Schoo Liaison project. <br /> <br /> - Wet with the'new City Manager in Concord to discuss areas of assistance in <br /> police and fire services. <br /> <br /> - Completed phone survey for Cabarrus County public safety agencies - results <br /> of analysis Ccurrently on-going) to be included in 911 report. <br /> <br /> - Conducted analysis of EMS Communications bids on county by county basis. <br /> Met with representatives frown participating counties (Ca§arrus, iredell, <br /> Linco n, Mecklenburg and Startle) to resolve excessive bid problems and reduced <br /> equipment lists to comply with budgetary re,Frictions. <br /> <br /> - Worked with County communications'supervisor to propose requests to Governor's <br /> Crime Cc~nmissiod for grant funds to purchase 911 rblated equipment [call <br /> check recorders and CRT for master road name index). <br /> <br /> Mana~ent and Fiscal Assistance Activities <br /> <br /> - Met with Concord Manager regarding services available through Centralina. <br /> <br /> Human Services Activities <br /> <br />A~In~ <br />- Aging staff met wit~ county aging advisory groups and program operators to <br /> review priorities. Staff then released requests for proposals to operate <br /> aging service projects and nutrition projects for the elderly. Proposals <br /> will be reviewed by the regional aging advisory committee in June and the <br /> COG Board in July, to approve them and make them part of the FY'82 area <br /> plan for aging. <br /> <br /> <br />
