PETITION FOR THE EXTENSION OF THE BOUNDARIES OF THE KJkNNAPOLIS SANITARY DISTRICT To the Board of Commissioners of the Kannapolis Sanitary District: We, the undersigned, owners of all of the land described hereinbelow, respectfully petition that all necessary action required by Article 12 of Chapter 130 of the General Statutes of North Carolina for the extension Of the boundaries of the Kannapolis Sanitary District in Cabarrus and Rowan Counties be taken so as' to annex said land and include the same within the boundaries of the said Kannapolis Sanitary District under the authority of said Article 12 of Chapter 130 of the General Statutes of North Carolina. The purpose of this petition is the annexation of the land or territory described below to said Kannapolis Sanitary District so that said district will include said territory within its boundaries and so that water and sewerage facilities and other utilities and services ~lich said district is authorized to provide may be provided in said ~erritory for the preservation and promotion of the public health and sanitary welfare therein. The petitioners understand that all costs of connection to the existing lines of the district and legal expenses and costs of annexation will be at.their expense and in accordance with the provision~ of the distriet,s rules, regulations and policies. The petitioners further understand that following annexation of the territory, the lines installed wilt become the property of the Kannapolis Sanitary District and the district will service and maintain said lines. The boundaries of the territory petitioned to be annexed to and included in the Kannapolis Sanitary District are as follows: BEGINNING at a point in the northern edge of McKnight Street, said point being that point where the boundary lin~ of the Kannapolis Sanitary District intersects the northern edge of McKnight Street, and runs thence along the no'rthern edge of McKnight Street, North 8~-45 West 215 feet to a stake, the point where McKnight Street makes a 90-degree turn to the North; thence continuing along the eastern edge of McKnight Street, North 1-30 East 238.4 feet to a point; thence South 84-30 East 115 feet, more or less, to a point in the boundary line of the Kannapolis Sanitary District; thence with the boundary line of the Kannapolis Sanitary District as it runs in a southerly direction for a distance~of approximately 230 feet, more or less, to the point'of Beginning.
