C~D. Coht~act Page -3- '-~ 3. Guaranteeing access to and making all provisions for the ENGINEERS to enter upon public and private property as required for the ENGINEERS to perform their services. 4. Examining all studies, reports, sketches, drawings, the construction plans and specifications, proposals and other docu- ments presented by the ENGINEERS, obtaining advice of an attorney, insurance counselor and other consultants as OI,~ER deems appropri- ate for such examination and rendering in ~iting decisions per- taining thereto within a reasonable time so as not to delay the services of the ENGINEER. 5. Giving prompt ~itten notice to the ENGINEERS whenever the the OWNER observes or otherwise becomes aware of any defect in the project or changed circumstances. 6. Furnishing the ENGINEERS in a timely manner with copies of pertinent correspondence relating to the project which would not otherwise have been delivered to the ENGINEERS. 7. Bearing all costs incident to compliance with the requirements of this article. B. Insofar as any of the above services are necessary to the ENGINEER': performance of their obligations under this contract, the OWNER shall be responsible for providing such services in a satisfactory and timely fashion so as not to delay the ENGINEERS in their performance of said obligations. ARTICLE VI ACCOUNTING SYSTEMS The ENGINEERS shall have an internal business accounting system which accounts for engineering costs in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles acceptable to the OWNER. This system shall pro- vide for the identification, accummulation and segregation of project costs. The ENGINEERS must propose and account for costs in a manner consistent with his normal accounting procedures. ARTICLE VII REPORTS OF WORK The ENGINEERS shall present verbal and/or written status reports on the project in a format acceptable to the OWNER. The reports shall include the invoices submitted for payment purposes.
