Bylaws <br /> <br />Article I: Name and Purpose <br /> <br /> Section 1. * ~ame - The name of this Task Force shall be the <br />Cabarrus County CBA Task Force. <br /> <br /> Section 2. Purpose - The purpose of this Task Force shall be to: <br /> <br /> 2.! Assess the needs of youth in Cabarrus County, giving parti- <br /> cular attention to the needs of status offenders on a con- <br /> tinuing basis. <br /> <br /> 2.2 A~sist the County in planning and administering community <br /> based alternatives to training school and delinquency pre- <br /> vention programs. <br /> <br /> 2.3 Evaluate programs developed by this Task Force for effective- <br /> ness. and continued need. <br /> <br />Article II: Membership <br /> <br /> Section 1. Members shall be appointed by the ~abarrus County~ <br />Board of Commissioners for a three year term. Appointment shall be <br />arrange so that approximately one third of the terms shall expire <br />each year. <br /> <br /> Section 2. The chairperson shall advise the Board of Commissioners <br />of members who should be replaced because of resignation, limited <br />interest and participation~ or conflict of interest. <br /> <br /> S~ction 3. The membership shall be no less than 12 persons and no <br />more tbau 30. <br /> <br /> Section 4. The Youth Services Coordinator and all Program Directors <br />will serve as ex-officio members of the commission. <br /> <br />Article III: Officers <br /> <br /> Section 1. The officers shill include a Chairperson, Vice-Chair- <br />person~ and~Secretary. <br /> <br /> Section 2. These officers shall be elected by the Task Force <br />membership at the June meeting of each year. New officers will <br />assume office on July 1- <br /> <br /> Section 3. Officers shall be elected for one year terms and <br />may succeed themselves. <br /> <br />Article tV: Meetings <br />Section l.
