Title: Resolution of Support and Endorsement for the Emergency Medical <br />Services Imnrovement Pro,ram Prepared by Centralina Council of Governments <br /> <br />Whereas, the County of recognizes the need for the pro- <br />vision of adequate emergency medical services to the citizens of <br /> County; and <br /> <br />Whereas, Centralina Council of Governments has prepared an Emergency Medical <br />Services Improvement Program for submission to the U.S. Department of Health, <br />Education, and Welfare for f%~ding under S~ction 1203 of the Emergency Medi- <br />cal Service Systems Act (PL 93-154); and <br /> <br />Whereas, the Emergency Medical Services Improvement Program represents one <br />step forward toward the provision of adequate emergency medical services <br />within Region F and in County; and <br /> <br />Whereas, the Board of Commissioners of County <br />desires to participate in the regional ~ Improvement Program; <br /> <br />Now, therefore, be it resolved, hy the Chairman and members of the Board <br />of Commissioners of County that: <br /> <br />1. The Board of Commissioners endorse and support the Emergency Medical <br /> Services Improvement Program prepared by Centralina Council of Govern- <br /> men ts. <br /> <br />2. The Board of Commissioners agree to provide or cause to be provided <br /> tke amount of in in-kind matching funds through the <br /> continued support of emergency medical services within <br /> County. <br /> <br />3. The Board of Co~.~s~ioners agree to pro,vide or cause to be provided <br /> the amount of in local cash to be used as matching <br /> funds for the procurement of communications equipment to improve the <br /> ~ communications system within County, pro- <br /> vided that ~he ~M.S Improvement Program is funded hy DHEW, <br /> <br /> Ratified this, the day of February 1979 . <br /> <br /> Clerk to the Board Chairman, County Commission <br /> <br /> <br />
