THE FOLLOWING REGULATIONS PERTAiNiNG TO Tile COLLECTION OF SOLID <br /> WASTE 1N CABARRDS CODNTY WERE DULY ADOPTED BY Tile CABARRUS COUNTY <br /> BOARD OF IIEALTH AT ITS REGULAR MEETING ON NOVEMBER 25, 1970 THESE <br /> REGUlaTIONS SHALl. BE IN EFFECT ON AND AFTER JANUARY l, 1971, <br /> <br /> ]. Each franchised refuse hauler w~ll obtain beiore February <br /> first of each year a Solid Waste Management Permit issued <br /> by the Health Director_ <br /> <br /> 2. Each franchised refuse hauler shall furnish annually the <br /> Health Director with a list of a~l equipment used in its <br /> ce!lection business and the name. address and telephone <br /> number of its managing officer <br /> <br /> 3. No vehicle shall be used in the collection of solid waste <br /> unless that vehicle has been Inspected and approved by the <br /> Health Director or his designated representative. Each <br /> vehicle shall be inspected at least annually and may be <br /> inspected more often and in location designated by the <br /> Health Director if such inspections deemed by the Health <br /> Director to be necessary. <br /> <br /> 4. Each vehicle used in the collection of solid waste shall <br /> be identified with the collectors name printed on each <br /> door in letters no less than three (3) inches in height. <br /> <br />WAll vehicles used for the collection of refuse shall be a <br /> minimum size of I 1/2 cons. watertight, and shall have an <br /> approved means of .keeping the refuse covered while in transport. <br /> <br /> 6. Franchised refuse haulers shall collect only such refuse as <br /> is stored in Dealth Department approved containers. <br /> <br /> ?. Ail solid waste collected shall be-disposed of daily in <br /> the Cabarrus County Sanitary Landfill or one approved <br /> writing by the Health Director. <br /> <br /> 8. The Health Dir~c[o¥ may at any time suspend or revoke a solid <br /> waste management permit for: <br /> <br /> a. Violation of these regulations. <br /> <br /> Violation of the "Ord%nance Governing Solid Waste in <br /> Cabarrus County." <br /> <br /> c. Infractions of Publi~ Health laws and regulations'in fdrce <br /> and effect in Cabarrus County and the State of North Carolina. <br /> <br /> DEFINITION O~ REFUSE CONTAINERS: <br /> <br /> A garbage container shall be: <br /> <br /> 1.
