PETITION FOR THE EXTENSION OF TIlE BOUNDARIES OF THE KANNAPOLIS SANITARY DISTRICT · TO the Board Of Commissioners Of the Kannapolis Sanitary District: We, the underSigned, owner of all of the land described hereinbelow, respectfuily petition that all necessary action required by A~tiele i2 of Chapter 130 of the< General Statutes of North Carolina for the extension of the boundaries of the Kannap01is Sanitary District in Cab~rrus and Rowan Counties be taken so as to annex ~aid land and include the sa~e within the boundaries of the said Kannapoii$ Sanitary DiStrict under the authority of said Article 12 of Chapter 130 of the General Statutes of North Carolina. The purpose of this petition is the annexation of the land or territory described below to said Kannapolis Sanitary District sO that said district will include said territory within its boundaries and so that water and sewerage facilities and other utilities and services which said district is authorized to provide may be provided in said territory for the preservation and promotion of the public health and sanitary welfare therein. The petitioner understands that all costs of connection to the existing lines of the district and legal expenses and costs of annexation will be at its expense and in accordance with the provisions of the district's rules, regulations and policies. The petitioner further understands that following annexation of the territory, the lines installed will become the property of the Kannapolis Sanitary District and the district will service and maintain said lines. The boundaries of the territory petitioned to be annexe~ to and included in the Kannapolis Sanitary District are as follows: BEGINNING at a point where the boundary ~ine of the Kannapolis Sanitary District intersects the western edge of Cooper Avenue, and runs thence along the western edge of Cooper Avenue, South 15-30 West 194 feet, more or less, to a point; thence continuing along the western edge of Cooper Avenue, South 3-00 West 655 feet to a point, said point being that point where the northern edge of the Elmwood Park, Section II, Subdivision intersects the western edge of Cooper Avenue; thence along the line of said Subdivision, South 60-44 West 64.35 feet; thence continuing along the line of said Subdivision and along the northern line of the J. D. Wyatt Farm Subdivision, North 82-14 West 168,4 feet to a point; thence North 2-14 West 214 feet, more or less, to a point in the existing boundary line of the Kannapolis Sanitary District; thence.with the~'bo~ndary line Of the Kannapolis Sanitary District as it runs in an easterly direction' for a distance of approximately 266 feet to the point of Beginning.
