CAgARRUS COUNTY

Posl Office Box ~07
CONCORD, NORTH CAROLINA 28025
October 13, 1980

I
TO: Charles D. McGinnis{
FROM: Mike Nunsuck ~-~
SUBJECT: September Stafds Report

Tile following is a monthly report for the various CETA programs that

operate in the county:

CETA (PSE)

ENROLLbIENT: (As of September 30, 1980)
Number of people enrolled in Title II-D 21
Number of people enrolled in Title VI 3
Number of people enrolled in Project VI 6

PAYROLL:
Number of participants receiving checks in September 33
Amount of September payroll* $ 1p,325.54
Number of administrative personnel 3
Amount of administrative costs** $ 3,325.64

The average cost per participant
to administrate the program $ 100.78

CObDIENTS:

We have begun our new fiscal year with a new contract. Since Congress has

yet to fund the CETA program for FY '81, the Division of Employment and Training

in Raleigb is dividing Dp nnspent monies from the past fiscal year among the
balance of state counties in North Carolina. The unspent monies or carry-over
money is not enough to completely fund every county in North Carolina and as a
result we have received funding for October, November, and December only- As
soon as funds are appropriated, we will receive onr funding for the entire year.

As a result of the aforementioned uncertainity, we lost our sustaining Title VI
program: and had our Title II-D program reduced from 23 to 21 slots, and our

Project VI program reduced from 9 to 7 slots. Two participants (one from Kannapolis
City Schools, one from Cabarrus Workshop) had to be laid off on October 1, 1980
