Vision Cable of Metrolina, ¥~%ile still in its first ye~u~ of <br />actnnal construction is pleased to report that Cable ~7 service <br />is now awnilable to more than 5, 000 homes in the Conco~xJ/l<ann~oolis <br /> <br />2. All strand and cable is up within the City of Concord. C~3ble <br />placement is 95% complete and only some minor additional underground <br />construction is requil~ed. Marketing is about 70~J coglleted and <br />Cable television service should be available to ail ~u~as within the <br />city be£ore the end of the upcoming quarter. <br /> <br />3. 8trand and cable construction has again% moved north of 1-85 but <br />the rate at %~%ich we are able to build is again dependent upon the <br />availibility o~ pole line Fearraulgements. ~.;o of our construction <br />crews have been idled while we await the completion of "makeready" <br />by D~<e Power Cc{npany north of the Concord City Limit and west of <br />Cat,non Boulevard in K~nnspolis. <br /> <br /> If we are able to obtain "cleared poles" at a rapid rate <br />the portion of Kannapolis which lies in C~)arrus County should be <br />completed early, in 1981. Othep areas of the County will then follow. <br /> <br />~. Included with this constrection report is a copy Of our current <br />public access plan auld policy. There has been some delay in delivering <br />of the cablecasting access equi~%~ent but I have been assured by <br />suppliers that our studio facility will be contolete prior to the end <br />of the year. <br /> <br />5. Our already broad selection of channels and services has been <br />increased with the addition of Cinemax bringing our char~%el total to <br />28 at this point. <br /> <br /> <br />
