C. <br /> <br /> DearMr. McGinnis: <br /> <br /> In the past years the County Commissioners have funded five youths, <br /> one from each of the High Schools to attend the Youth Legislative As- <br /> sembly. Last year they funded these youth plus one advisor. <br /> <br /> Along with the funding of registration the Commissioners also <br /> voted to pay for meals and transportation. <br /> <br /> The Youth Council voted to pay for their own meals this year }f <br /> the Commissioners could possibly fund more representatives from each <br /> school. We have four representatives from each school o~ the Youth <br /> Council and it would be nice if as many as possible could attend. <br /> <br /> The registration is $37.00 per delegate and $67.00 for the advisor. <br /> They are also requiring that an advisor or chaperone accompany the dele- <br /> gation if it consists of four or more persons. <br /> <br /> The registration must be in by Frebruary 16th. <br /> <br /> Enclosed is a copy of the memo which was mailed to our Youth <br /> Council. <br /> <br /> Since the deadline for registration is Februay 16th, could you <br /> please see that this is discussed at the next County Commissioners <br /> Meeting. <br /> <br /> Thank you for your assistance. <br /> <br /> Sincerely yours, <br /> <br /> ry riffin, Youth Council Advisor, <br /> Recreation Supervisor <br /> Cabarrus County Parks & Recreation Dept. <br /> <br /> Enclosure <br /> <br /> <br />
