Projects Received <br /> <br /> 1. LEAA#79-12 Police School Liaison Program <br /> <br />B. Projects Sisned-Off <br /> <br /> 1. None <br /> <br />PUBLIC SAFETY ACTIVITIES <br /> <br />Monitored Concord Police School Liaison project, accompanied by Drew Wood, <br />Division of Crime Control. Met with Chief ~Dore, project personnel, and <br />finance director. <br /> <br />Set up and attended meeting between Concord School Liaison Officer and <br />officers in charge of Mecklenburg County's School Resource Officer program, <br />Lt. Colonel Canipe, and Glen Mowery. <br /> <br />Wrote and processed the Concord Police School Liaison Program third year <br />grant application and progress report. <br /> <br />Assisted Bobby Bonds, Cabarrus County Sheriff's Office, with the preparation <br />of a 1980 input form for the Evidence Technician project. <br /> <br />Met with Cabarrus County emergency services staff regarding participation in <br />data collection process and likelihood of participation in continuing educa- <br />tion program. <br /> <br />Met with Bud Richards to discuss communication needs in the EOC that Cabarrus <br />County is building and the possibility of 1203 funding. <br /> <br />Met with Joe Shue, the ambulance service director, to take pictures and talk <br />about public relations and the slide/tape program. <br /> <br />HU~L~N SERVICE ACTIVITIES <br /> <br />Aging <br />The Aging staff conducted the following activities which involved the county , <br />or its representatives: <br /> <br />-made assessment visits (~o check progress on key activities as per contract). <br /> <br />The DHR Auditors have completed their audit of Centralina and all Aging Sub- <br />contracts for the FY 1976-77. The pre-exit interview indicated that we had <br />a "clean audit", no major problems and no exceptions which would cause funds <br />to have to be repaid. <br /> <br /> <br />
