Training for these <br /> committees and support agency personnel will be conducted in our Region by <br /> the North Carolina DSvision on Aging as follows: <br /> <br /> January 17, 1979 - Lincoln, Gaston, Mecklenburg, Union: Charlottetown <br /> Mall, Charlotte - 8:30 a.m. <br /> <br /> January 18, 1979 - Iredell, Rowan, Cabarrus, Stanly: Carolina bell, <br /> Concord- 8:30 a.m. <br /> <br /> b~npowet <br /> The manpower program is trying to replace Ms. Jean Blank, who resigned in <br /> December ~o take another position. During the month the staff conducted <br /> the following major activities: <br /> <br /> -mailed out materials to the Regional .Employment and Training Advisory Com- <br /> mittee (ETAC) including: minutes of November meeting and reports on enroll- <br /> ments and expenditures for county CETA I projects. <br />-collected participant information to evaluate county FY 1978 CETA I programs <br /> (results to be used in planning this upcoming year). <br />-began collecting data to use in the needs assessment for each county's CETA I <br /> manpower plan for FY 1980. <br /> <br />Family Plannin8 <br />The Family Planning staff person was on medical leave during December. During <br />January she will be working with County Health Departments to compile the cumu- <br />lative expenditure reports for the first and second quarters. From this, she <br />shall proceed to make budget modifications ia those Counties where one is <br />required to: prevent overexpenditures or underexpenditures; or to bring the <br />family planning budget in line with the coun[y budget. These changes may, in <br />some cases, require a modification of certain attachments to the subcontract. <br /> <br />She will also be assisting County Health Departments with their portion of the <br />regional plan for 1979-80. This plan ia due in Raleigh in early February. <br /> <br /> <br />
