A geographically central five acre site has been located and
purchased to serve as the ~entral signal distribution point. This
site, which is located on ennsylvania Avenue at Kansas Street in
Kannapolis, will afford maximum accessibility. We are very pleased
with its location relative to the total electronic design parameters
of the distribution system itself. A central- as opposed to a remote-
pickup site is but another assurance of maximum dependability and
high quality service..

5. Initial strand mapping of the core system is complete and ready
for electronic design. The design itself, however, cannot be com-
pleted until makeready engineering is well underway so that the main
trunk arteries can be plotted. Application has been made for all
attachmen% agreements(Duke Power Company~ The Concord Telephone Com-
pany, and The Concord Board of Light and Water Commissioners). The
agreement with Duke Power Company has been received, approved, and
executed.

52 McCACHERN BLVD. · P.O. BOX 208 · CONCORD. N.
