The CoI~ission requests that the Board <br /> of County Commissioners consider these proposals at their regular <br /> August meeting, <br /> <br /> 1. f~eminatio~ of new members to serve on the Parks and <br /> Recreation Advisory Commission. <br /> <br /> Reco~nendation: The'Recreatio~ Commission recommends that the Board of <br /> ~n-~-y ~oners amend Section 1 of Re~u~]~on creating the Park <br /> Recreation Advisory C~slon to allow elev-T~l) as opposed to nine <br /> (9} mm, bets to serve 9n the Comm'T~o_n. <br /> <br /> Section 4 should be amended by adding the following, "The member from <br /> the Cabarrus County Youth Council will serve a one year term". <br /> <br /> The following persons have been nominated by the Parks and Recreation <br /> Advisory Commission to serve terms as designated: <br /> <br /> /-Scott Trott - Unexpired term of Larry James <br /> ~ L~William Cook One year term <br /> John Nammett - Three year term <br /> <br /> 2. Jackson Farm Property Lease Agreement and Master Site Plan, <br /> A. LeaseA~eement: <br /> <br />  On May l, 1979 the North Carolina Council of State approved <br /> a request by the Cabarrus County Parks and Recreation Advisory <br /> Commission to lease 178.57 acres of farm proper~y at Jackson <br /> Training School for the purposes of constructing a Regional <br />Cou~}ty Park. Since that time, Recreation Deparbnent officials <br /> have been Working diligently with officials from the N. C. <br /> State Property Office, N. C. Bureau of Outdoor Recreation, <br /> U. S. Heritage Recreation and Conservation Service and the <br /> N. C. Attorney Generals O~fice to prepare the terms and <br /> conditions of the lease agre~e~t. <br /> <br /> <br />
