PROPOSAL AND CONTRACT <br /> <br /> COUNTY PARK <br /> <br /> CABARRUS COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA <br /> <br />Gardner Gidley and Associates propose to prepare a Master Plan <br />for the development of recreation facilities to be situated on <br />approximately 175 acres of land situated in Cabarrus County, <br />North Carolina as follows: <br /> <br />A. SCOPE OF WORK <br /> <br />The Master Plan will be a comprehensive guide to the orderly <br />development of facilities for use by the public. The Master ~lan <br />will consist of a site plan (or plans) and a narrative report. <br /> <br />The site plan will locate all of the elements, show their <br />relationship to each other and to existing physical features. It <br />may include, but will not necessarily be limited to, the following: <br /> <br /> -existing facilities <br /> -access roads, with recommendations for realignment where <br /> necessary <br /> -boating facilities <br /> -control points, entrances <br /> -caretaker's quarters <br /> -swimming pool or beach <br /> -parking and related facilities; toilets, concession stands, etc. <br /> -group picnic facilities <br /> -family picnic areas <br /> -areas to be preserved as natural areas <br /> -fishing pier <br /> -athletic fields <br /> -tennis courts <br /> -play areas <br /> -other elements at owner's request <br /> <br />The narrative will describe each of the'areas and facilities <br />above and will set forth the size, function and approximate cost <br />and recommended phasing of each planoed element.
