A RESOLUTION ADOPTING A ~OUNTY~WIDEGRID <br /> SYSTEM FOR HOUSE NUb~ERING AND PROPERTY <br /> IDENTIFICATION <br /> <br /> WHEREAS the County of Cabarrus has and. ~s currently <br />experiencing substantial growth, especially in the residential <br />sector and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS there has been no established comprehensive <br />county-wide system from which to base the assignment of house <br />numbering and property identification and, <br /> <br /> g~EREAS the County Com_missioners of Cabarrus County have <br />recognized the need for the systematic rapid referral to the <br />location of properties throughout the County by establishing <br />policy and firm guidelines for effecting the eradication of <br />duplicate or deceptively similar street names and further <br />recognize that the health, safety and general welfare of the <br />citizenry is dependent on a sound county-wide property numbering <br />system and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS this proposed county-wide system has been presented <br />and accepted by those agencies directly affected in the County; <br />emergency services, postal service, Sheriff's department and <br />other affected agencies; <br /> <br /> NOW THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF <br />COb~ISSIONERS OF CABARRUS COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA, meeting in <br />regular session on this the 8th day of October, 1979, do formerly <br />adopn a county-wide grid system based on the North Carolina Grid <br />Co-ordinate System to be utilized in the assignment of house and <br />property numbers throughout the County. <br /> <br /> This resolution adopned after motion, second and roll <br />call on this date. <br /> <br />Dated: <br /> <br />ATTEST: BOARD OF COUNTY COb~ISSIONERS <br />Clerk to the Boar, d of CABARRUS COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA <br />County Co~issioners <br /> <br /> BY: <br /> TROY RAY COOK, CHAIRM~IN <br /> <br /> <br />
