BE IDENTIFIED WITH HOUSEfBUILDING NL%mERS~ ' ' ~ ~'] <br /> <br /> WHERE~S, the Cabarrus County Board iof County Commissioners <br />recognizes the need for a centrally organized and dispatched emergency <br />service in order that the health, safety and general welfare of the <br />citizenry of the County be effected, and ' · · : <br /> <br /> W~HEREAS, the County Board of Commissioners re6ognizes the <br />need for a comprehensive county-wide propergy numbering system based <br />on the North Carolina Grid Co-Ordinate System for the exact and quick <br />identificatio~ of property in the County, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this new property numbering system is now being <br />implemented with the assistance of the United States Postal Services~ <br /> NOW THEREFORE, le~ it be resolved that the Cabarrus County <br />Board of Commissioners sitting in regular session on December 10, <br />1979, do recognize the need for rapid identification of buildings <br />· n the County, especially from an emergency service standpoint, <br />and do decree that the o~mers of each dwelling unit or conm~erci~l~ <br />industrial building identify the building with the numbers assigned <br />by the postal service. (This excludes persons receiving mail by rural <br />route and box number) These numbers should be at least three inDhes (3") <br />in height and be placed on the building such as to be clearly visible <br />from the roadway, at or near the main entrance facing the ~ <br />roadway. Property owners are to have the numbers posted as described <br />above within thirty (30) days after notification from the postal <br />service of the new address.
