Box 707 Concord, North Carolina 28025 Re: Proposed Cabarrus County Airport TCA Project No. 445 Dear Mr. McGinnls: We have attached a partial billing for professional ser- vices rendered which reflects an amount less than our January billing and in line with the work done to date. In late January, we sent Cabarrus County a bill for com- pletion of the Environmental Impact Assessment Report (EIAR) and Phase II, the Site Selection Study, of the Airport Master Plan Report. At that time, Cabarrus County bad in hand final draft copies of both reports and both reports had been sent to FAA for final approval. However, at that time, FAA had not approved either document nor had Cabarrus County committed themselves to the site evaluated in-depth by the EIAR. Per- haps, the billing for completion of both reports was premature. Since that time essentially little has changed. T~e Phase II report has been in the Atlanta Office of FAA, pending review, since late January. I have personally been calling FAA weekly ~-~ for over a month now trying to see some progress and gauge the status o~ the Site Selection Study. I have bee~ told the Phase ..... I~R~eport will most likel~ be acce~ted as it st_a~~-~-- ~owar~--M. Robinson and Mr. ~"~"~_.~3'~--'~~ tO Concord t~gC~ff~_~i~ ~5 and several other sites, most likely num- bers 6A, 7, 10, and 18. They want to be well prepared to dis- cuss the merits of Site ~5 with relation to the others should questions arise. As you know, there is a Congressional Inquiry.
